We know that students who struggle with attention challenges can find school especially frustrating. At Axiom Learning, we understand that not all attention challenges are the same. When we read, we see letters on a page and “speak” them into our brain using input channels for auditory processing (that’s why you often move your lips when you are reading). Dyslexia and other reading, writing, and expressive language challenges can occur when this “phonological loop” breaks.

How LEAP 3.0 Works

At Axiom Learning, we know that the root cause for most learning differences is a gap in the student’s physical, cognitive processing, or Executive Functioning systems. We understand that most students dealing with ADD, ADHD, dyslexia and other learning challenges are smart enough to learn, but they have underlying weaknesses that make learning difficult.

We understand that students are unique individuals who each learn differently. Some students struggle in school because they find it difficult to process visual cues, while others may not decode auditory information accurately. Many students with learning differences have trouble organizing their thoughts as well.

The Levels of LEAP 3.0

Sensory-Motor Integration Cognitive Processing Skills Executive Functioning Academic and Collaborative Transference Activities

LEAP 3.0’s Level 1 includes a battery of sequential, coordinated exercises which synthesize sensory-motor processing and mindfulness in a way that dramatically enhances a student’s ability to self-regulate and helps students who otherwise struggle in mainstream classrooms. Skills targeted include rhythmicity, balance, bodily spatial awareness, visual tracking>, and auditory skill development.

LEAP 3.0 also works to strengthen the visual and auditory pathways to process information more efficiently, accurately and automatically. This allows students to spend less energy on merely processing information and more energy on deeply understanding and applying that information to academic or social contexts.

LEAP 3.0’s Level 2 incorporates sequential, coordinated, and integrated activities that allow students to more accurately gather information from their classrooms and environment.
