At Axiom Learning, a world-class education team stands behind you! Our faculty combine instructional expertise, cutting-edge diagnostic tools, and years of experience in order to help ALL students achieve success. Our process is as follows:
Our customized assessments assess where each student is RIGHT NOW across a wide range of sub-topics. Whether you are getting ready to take the SAT, need targeted support in academic subjects like Math, Science and English or need to understand how your Special Learner can best be supported, our diagnostics point you in the right direction to design the most effective learning plans for your child.
Our diagnostic tools provide our faculty and education team the data we need to design customized learning plans which efficiently address your child's specific deficits, challenge and extend their strengths and focus on the topics and areas they would most benefit from by not wasting valuable time on areas which won't help your child. We revisit these plans a MINIMUM of every 8 weeks to make sure your child's support is always targeting their specific needs in real time.
Supported by our education team, our dedicated faculty members will work with your child to develop the processes and frameworks needed to achieve their objectives. Your faculty members are never alone in helping your child succeed - all of our faculty members meet on a weekly basis to discuss EVERY student’s learning plan and check in with our global education support team at least twice every month to ensure they are using the most effective tools we have available.
You should always know WHAT we are doing with your child and WHY we are doing it. We have the most robust reporting processes in the industry to ensure you are properly informed. We regularly call all of our parents and provide extensive progress reports every semester which provide a great deal of detail and recommendations for each of our students. We are also always happy to meet with you to explain the progress we are seeing and areas of continued focus moving forward.
Hello! My name is Nick Beinor and I’m very excited to be a part of the Axiom Learning team. I grew up in a small, more-cows-than-people town called Sutton, Massachusetts before attending Boston College where I earned my B.A. in History. My specific area of study was the “Long Nineteenth Century” – the 125 years between the French Revolution and the First World War. This lead to the opportunity to write and publish a book about this period through Amazon, and I am now further pursuing my passion for this topic at Harvard University, where I am working towards my M.A. in History. During my time at Boston College, I was also fortunate enough to discover my other passion for teaching. One of the most rewarding experiences I had was working with first grade classes. It was here that I was able to hone the skills of breaking down complex concepts into more manageable and understandable parts in different ways for different students. At a young age, students are excited to learn, and in my subsequent work with middle school and high school students at Axiom, I enjoy helping these older students find and embrace their academic passions as well. When not working with Axiom students or attending classes, I can be found playing euphonium with the Boston College Symphonic Band. I look forward to working with your child and sharing with them the joy of learning!
Hello! My name is Megan Collins and I grew up in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, where I fell in love with theatre and thrived academically. Like many students here at Axiom Learning, I sought to reach my full potential and put my heart into my studies, especially writing and chemistry. I combined these interests into a Bachelor of Science in Behavior and Health at Boston University. Throughout the past few years, I have taught drama and art for Pennsylvania Youth Theatre, directed religious education at Camp Bernadette, and led behavioral development groups at Youth Villages! When working with my students, I aim to highlight the true greatness in each child by using his or her unique experiences and learning styles to help that child discover the path to his or her goals. Forming relationships that lead to growth is my favorite activity on a list that also includes singing and playing guitar in my band, creative writing, reading fantasy novels, obsessing over Survivor, hiking, and contemplating large bodies of water. I cannot wait to get to know your child!
Hello! My name is Sam Birmingham, and I am excited to work with you and your family at Axiom. I grew up in Stowe, Vermont before attending Colgate University, where I studied English Literature and Education. While studying at Colgate, I became interested in the facets of special education and social justice in education. In college, I spent every summer working with children of all ages: either in my hometown as a tennis coach or in Boston teaching math. For me, choosing to become involved in education was a no-brainer; I was met with another easy decision upon discovering Axiom Learning during my senior year. Axiom’s emphasis on building strong one-on-one relationships with students is something upon which I base my own educational philosophy. When I am not working at Axiom, I am probably reading, cooking, or spending time outdoors. I hope to work with your student soon!
Hello! My name is Dan Cahill and I am excited to begin working with your family! As a child, I grew up in the town of Manlius, which is in the Finger Lakes region of New York. I graduated from Hamilton College with a B.A in Chemistry and a minor in Mathematics. During my time there, I was a student athlete, pursuing my passion for STEM while also being a member of the Men’s Varsity lacrosse team. Outside of this, I volunteered at the Utica Underground Café, an afterschool program and teen center for local youth. That experience allowed me to realize my desire to work with kids of all ages in highly interactive educational settings. As such, I also spent a lot of time coaching lacrosse and being a mentor to young people. When not at Axiom, I enjoy golfing, spending time outdoors, and trying new restaurants. I am excited to help your child accumulate the skills and confidence they need to be successful both inside and outside of the classroom. I look forward to meeting your child!
