Work with Axiom Learning gets you the support of more than just one instructor – our team centered approach allows us to draw on the varied experience of our faculty who are experts in creating targeted, effective lessons for each student. Our proven assessments give us the necessary data to tailor our support and allow every student to reach their goals as effectively as possible. Our process is as follows:
Our customized assessments assess where each student is RIGHT NOW across a wide range of sub-topics. Whether you are getting ready to take the SAT, need targeted support in academic subjects like Math, Science and English or need to understand how your Special Learner can best be supported, our diagnostics point you in the right direction to design the most effective learning plans for your child.
Our diagnostic tools provide our faculty and education team the data we need to design customized learning plans which efficiently address your child's specific deficits, challenge and extend their strengths and focus on the topics and areas they would most benefit from by not wasting valuable time on areas which won't help your child. We revisit these plans a MINIMUM of every 8 weeks to make sure your child's support is always targeting their specific needs in real time.
Supported by our education team, our dedicated faculty members will work with your child to develop the processes and frameworks needed to achieve their objectives. Your faculty members are never alone in helping your child succeed - all of our faculty members meet on a weekly basis to discuss EVERY student’s learning plan and check in with our global education support team at least twice every month to ensure they are using the most effective tools we have available.
You should always know WHAT we are doing with your child and WHY we are doing it. We have the most robust reporting processes in the industry to ensure you are properly informed. We regularly call all of our parents and provide extensive progress reports every semester which provide a great deal of detail and recommendations for each of our students. We are also always happy to meet with you to explain the progress we are seeing and areas of continued focus moving forward.
Hi there, my name is Gabi Lieberman, and I’m thrilled for the opportunity to work with your family! Growing up in a family of Japanese, Italian, and Russian descent has allowed me take on many different cultural perspectives. With this in mind, I majored in Creative Writing and East Asian studies at the University of British Columbia, where I pursued a passion in script, fiction, and nonfiction writing which lead to joining a creative writing mentoring program, where I designed and implemented curricula focusing on globally sensitive prose. At the Harvard School of Education, I developed an Educators’ Resource that focused on bridging the gap between research and practice using literature in the context of socio-emotional development and perspective-taking. Here at Axiom, I am excited to work with students by utilizing these experiences to help students improve their reading and writing skills and socio-emotional development. While doing so, I work to incorporate the specified sensitivity necessary for each individual to build upon their own metacognitive awareness, contributing to positive growth in both mindset and academics. I look forward to the opportunity to share my passions with you and your family!
Hi! My name is Ray Paul Biron and I graduated from Tufts University with a B.A. in History and a minor in English. Currently, I am attending the Harvard Graduate School of Education where I am working on a Masters in Technology and Innovation. I first fell in love with education while teaching English in a small primary school in Prague, enjoying both the joys and challenges of working with children of various learning backgrounds. At Tufts, I taught a Democracy Education course at Arlington High School where I worked to impress upon my students their ability to have an impact on their community. Although both of my experiences in the classroom were unique, I found working to solve problems together with the students--both young and old, English and Czech speaking--to be rewarding. Before joining Axiom, I also worked for a Tech Education startup called LearnZillion in Washington D.C. where I have continued to develop their math K-8 curriculum. In my free time, I enjoy playing basketball, improvising on my violin, and writing. I am very excited to start working with your child!
Hello! My name is Megan Collins and I grew up in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, where I fell in love with theatre and thrived academically. Like many students here at Axiom Learning, I sought to reach my full potential and put my heart into my studies, especially writing and chemistry. I combined these interests into a Bachelor of Science in Behavior and Health at Boston University. Throughout the past few years, I have taught drama and art for Pennsylvania Youth Theatre, directed religious education at Camp Bernadette, and led behavioral development groups at Youth Villages! While working with my students, I aim to highlight the true greatness in each child by using his or her unique experiences and learning styles to help that child discover the path to his or her goals. Forming relationships that lead to growth is my favorite activity on a list that also includes singing and playing guitar in my band, creative writing, reading fantasy novels, obsessing over Survivor, hiking, and contemplating large bodies of water. I cannot wait to get to know your child!
Hi! My name is Erik Broess and I’m passionate about Music, Science, and Education. As a student at Tufts University, I majored in Biology and Music while embracing every teaching opportunity available. I discovered my passion for education while tutoring for the introductory Biology courses at Tufts. During this time, I worked with researchers in the Department of Education to explore pedagogical methods which informed my own personal teaching style. This guidance culminated during my senior year when I planned and taught my own course on Music Copyright Law, for which I was awarded the university’s competitive Marshall Hochhauser Prize. At Axiom, I combine these lessons to provide a unique learning experience that meets each student where they are and helps them reach their personal goals. I’m excited to work with your child to foster a lifelong love of learning!
