At the same time, we also strive to enhance his or her areas of strength and test prep goals within the necessary timeframe.
Our customized assessments assess where each student is RIGHT NOW across a wide range of sub-topics. Whether you are getting ready to take the SAT, need targeted support in academic subjects like Math, Science and English or need to understand how your Special Learner can best be supported, our diagnostics point you in the right direction to design the most effective learning plans for your child.
Our diagnostic tools provide our faculty and education team the data we need to design customized learning plans which efficiently address your child's specific deficits, challenge and extend their strengths and focus on the topics and areas they would most benefit from by not wasting valuable time on areas which won't help your child. We revisit these plans a MINIMUM of every 8 weeks to make sure your child's support is always targeting their specific needs in real time.
Supported by our education team, our dedicated faculty members will work with your child to develop the processes and frameworks needed to achieve their objectives. Your faculty members are never alone in helping your child succeed - all of our faculty members meet on a weekly basis to discuss EVERY student’s learning plan and check in with our global education support team at least twice every month to ensure they are using the most effective tools we have available.
You should always know WHAT we are doing with your child and WHY we are doing it. We have the most robust reporting processes in the industry to ensure you are properly informed. We regularly call all of our parents and provide extensive progress reports every semester which provide a great deal of detail and recommendations for each of our students. We are also always happy to meet with you to explain the progress we are seeing and areas of continued focus moving forward.
Hello! My name is Kendall Reingold. After moving to Boston from Seattle, Washington, I graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Tufts University with a B.A. in Women’s Studies and Spanish. I fell in love with teaching as a high school student upon getting involved with my school’s peer tutoring program. Since then, I’ve worked in educational settings ranging from adult English classes in Spain to teaching a middle school social studies classroom in an intensive summer school program. I have worked with students of all ages on a variety of subjects, ranging from languages to test prep to math and beyond. What I enjoy most about teaching is the opportunity it provides to work closely with students to help them unlock their maximum potential and motivation. Outside of Axiom, you might find me playing soccer, decorating cakes, or trying a new recipe. I love helping students find their passion for learning, and I’m looking forward to working with you and your family!
Hi! My name is Taylor Mckinnon. I’m from Boston, Massachusetts and earned my Bachelor’s degree in Classical Studies and English Literature from Brandeis University. Ever since I was young, I’ve been passionate about exploring the ins and outs of childhood education as my mother was a pioneering force for early development in the Boston Public Schools. As I got older, I became increasingly conscious of the issues my peers and I faced with the current educational system and became involved in finding solutions and pathways to make things simpler and easier for students to learn. My teaching journey started in tenth grade when I began working at a homework assistance program in the Boston Public Libraries. I helped children from grades K-8 with their homework and developing more effective study techniques. Since then, I have tutored individuals in Latin (my favorite subject) and worked with programs through Brandeis that provide academic support to students. I am especially enthusiastic about working with young women in the sciences. My favorite part is connecting students to their studies in order to encourage them to continue learning! Outside of this, I enjoy anything related to superheroes, the ancient Romans, and baking delicious cookies. I look forward to working with your family!
Hi! My name is Caroline Murphy and I am from Saratoga Springs, New York. Graduating from Duke University with a major in Earth and Ocean Sciences and a minor in Sociology, I have always loved science and working with people and have found teaching at the intersection of those two interests! At an elementary school in Durham, NC and with the Duke Talent Identification Program, I’ve taught many students in a variety of settings. In addition, I worked for MENTOR: The National Mentoring Partnership, where I learned the importance of meaningful and supportive relationships in students’ lives. Throughout these experiences, I have seen that once students are comfortable, confident, and feel free to ask questions and be themselves, they are best prepared to learn. Each student is unique and can get excited about learning and find success. When I’m not at Axiom, I love being outdoors exploring, hiking, rowing, or skiing, depending on the season and weather. On rainy days, you can find me doing a crossword puzzle, experimenting with art supplies, or attempting to play a new song on the piano. I am so excited to be at Axiom and look forward to working with you and your family!
Hi! My name is Pim Senanarong and I am originally from Bangkok, Thailand, where I tutored middle and high school students in essay writing and test prep. Growing up in a country where English and writing did not receive a major educational focus, I decided to come to boarding school in the States so I could pursue my passion for writing fiction and nonfiction. I received my Bachelor’s from Boston College, where I majored in English with a concentration in Creative Writing. I’ve been fortunate to have the close mentorship of boarding school teachers and college professors who pushed me to stay true to my voice and craft. With their support, I received the Dever Fellowship, a grant given to an undergraduate who shows promise in a career in writing. From my exposure to different education systems, I learned the importance of an environment that values individual talents, encourages discussion and participation, and builds confidence and trust. Each student is unique and full of untold stories and potential for success. I look forward to working with you and your child at Axiom Learning!
