Our diagnostic tools provide our faculty and education team the data we need to design customized learning plans which efficiently address your child's specific deficits, challenge and extend their strengths and focus on the topics and areas they would most benefit from (while also saving time by not wasting valuable time on areas which won't help your child). We revisit these plans a MINIMUM of every 8 weeks to make sure your child's support is always targeting their specific needs in real time.
Supported by our education team, our dedicated faculty members will work with your child to develop the processes and frameworks needed to achieve their objectives. Your faculty members are never alone in helping your child succeed - all of our faculty members meet on a weekly basis to discuss EVERY student’s learning plan and check in with our global education support team at least twice every month to ensure they are using the most effective tools we have available.
You should always know WHAT we are doing with your child and WHY we are doing it. We have the most robust reporting processes in the industry to ensure you are properly informed. We regularly call all of our parents and provide extensive progress reports every semester which provide a great deal of detail and recommendations for each of our students. We are also always happy to meet with you to explain the progress we are seeing and areas of continued focus moving forward.
Hi there! My name is Erika Keer and I’m so grateful to be part of Axiom’s Bay Area team. I grew up on the Peninsula and graduated from UC Berkeley, where I majored in Cognitive Science. I am fascinated by how the brain works, particularly by how people learn, which has fueled my passion for education. Throughout college, I tutored at Berkeley elementary schools, both in reading/writing and STEM subjects. I also worked for UC Berkeley’s Educational Technology Services, offering classroom technology support to professors and students, and I interned for an educational technology startup in San Francisco, providing support to a collaborative online classroom of adult learners from all over the world. Through these experiences, I realized that I love personally connecting with students and finding innovative ways to help them learn new information and skills that can enrich their lives. When I’m not doing this, I am often singing, songwriting, harmonizing, or attempting to teach myself musical instruments. I also love to travel (especially to tropical places), and spend time with my wonderful family and friends. I can’t wait to work with you and your child!
Hey there! My name is Anthony Co and I'm a graduate of UC Davis, where I earned a B.S. in Biotechnology. I've been drawn to the sciences since high school, where my particularly zealous biology teacher showed me the immense satisfaction that comes from answering a complex question by going into the field, and getting my hands (and feet) wet. I possess a naturally social disposition which drew me, first, into helping my friends and bench-mates with understanding concepts and procedures, then into working as a lab assistant for my professors, and helping other students. I learned the importance of clear and effective writing, as well as that of collaboration and kinship, when dealing with the intricate web of communication and peer-review involved in the increasingly global scientific community. At Axiom, my focus is in helping students to understand their environment and uncover their goals by thinking and communicating effectively. I've worked with students of all ages, from helping young children learn their ABC's, and persist through frustration, to helping high school students disassemble the seemingly insurmountable and arbitrary ACT, into concrete and predictable rules. I look forward to working with you and sharing my love of learning with your child!
Hello! My name is Andrew Gonzalez and it's a pleasure to introduce myself! I'm originally from Southern California from a small town that's about an hour north of San Diego. While I'm still trying to get used to how much colder the Bay Area is compared to my hometown, I'm ready to bring some of that warm sunny SoCal energy. I graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a major in Psychology with a particular interest in psychopathology. At UC Santa Barbara I had the pleasure to work with some outstanding professors that fueled my curiosity and pushed me to learn all that I could about not only psychology, but any subject that happened to pique my interest. Before working at Axiom Learning I was working as a career counselor for at risk youth on Treasure Island right here in the Bay Area. It was an incredible experience and my students showed me just how much they could accomplish if they were given the time and attention they needed to succeed. I hope to bring this same mindset and my own passion and love for learning to the team at Axiom Learning. Outside of work, I love to experience new things especially when it comes to food. I am constantly on the hunt for the best restaurant to try or the best recipe to make. I also have a great love of the outdoors particularly hiking and anything related to the beach but admittedly this is, in part, a way to balance my love of food. I am overjoyed to share my love of learning and everything I've learned from my past experiences!
Hi! My name is Shyam Srinivasan, and I grew up in the Bay Area before attending New York University. At NYU, I honed my writing skills and critical thinking by double majoring in Politics and Philosophy and founding a student publication. I particularly enjoyed philosophy and completely fell in love with the practice of talking and thinking about ideas. After living and studying in New York during college, I concluded that the West Coast was the best coast for me and returned home to join a Silicon Valley tech company. During my six years there, I had the good fortune of trying several different roles, including sales, data analysis, technical writing, training other teams, and product management. Through that process, I discovered my love of teaching and realized that I am most interested in meaningfully contributing to the lives of others – I believe education is the best way for me to do just that. As the son of an educator, I’ve seen just how impactful teaching can be when it is customized around a student’s needs. To that end, I am ecstatic to be a part of Axiom Learning and to help each of my students achieve their potential. In my free time, I enjoy running, watching the NBA, playing basketball (go Spurs!), reading, learning new things, and travelling. I look forward to working with you and your family!
